Thank you for your interest in Therapy Playground.  Here are some things you should know about being a student in our clinics.

  • We welcome students from all colleges and high schools.
  • Your point of contact is as follows.  Please email and allow for 2 days response time with the specifics of your request.  We need to know dates and your individual requirements (observation hours, volunteer hours, level 1, semester long, etc)
    • Amy Hammer for speech – amy.hammer @ therapyplayground.com
    • Kayla House for OT – kayla.house @ therapyplayground.com
    • Amanda Didawick for PT – amanda.didawick @ therapyplayground.com
  • If your college requires an agreement with Therapy Playground and there isn’t one in place, please contact your placement coordinator to facilitate this.
  • We do not offer any paid student opportunities.
  • Once you are accepted as a student, you will receive an email outlining the following:
    • Therapist assigned and contact information
    • Clinic assigned
    • Days and times scheduled
  • On your first day, please provide any grading rubric, placement expectations or pertinent information to your assigned therapist.
  • We provide services in the clinic as well as homes and daycares.  Be prepared to travel with your therapist and provide services in whatever environment the child is in.  If you have any pet allergies, we need to know before you start your placement with us.
  • Our dress code is as follows.  Remember you may sit on the floor, reach overhead and bend to help patients.  You want to make sure all of your skin is covered.  We will send you home if you are not dressed appropriately.
