Mayra L. Ruiz- Cruz holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Work. For the past 20 years, she has worked with families and children of all ages. She has worked in programs such as Healthy Families, providing child development and health information, and assessing children’s growth and development. She worked for 8 years as an Early Childhood Specialist, offering training, support, and advocacy to Early Educators and Child Care Providers. The classes that she offered were open to professionals working in the field of early care and education, parents, and the public in general. She enjoys working with families and children immensely. She applies the skills and knowledge that she had gained from these experiences in her daily work as a Community Based Rehabilitation Specialist (CBRS), supporting parents and caregivers in their responsibilities of helping children develop physically, emotionally, and intellectually to their fullest potential.
