Therapy Playground provides direct and consultative speech-language pathology services to individuals with a variety of communication disorders. Services include:
• Speech-Language Evaluation and Treatment: Our agency will evaluate and treat communication disorders in children and developmentally delayed adults. We have experience working with individuals with autism, mental retardation, hearing impairment, cleft palate, apraxia, dysarthria, and various genetic syndromes. Communication disorders we are able to diagnose and treat include articulation/phonological deficits, language impairment, stuttering, and voice disturbances. We are able to provide these services by contractual agreement or through billing of the patient's insurance.
Discovery Playground is pleased to announce the availability of preschool for 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds at our Fisher Road location. Classes are supervised by a bachelor's level infant toddler specialist following a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our teacher to child ratio is 1 teacher for every 6 children. We have 2, 3, 4, and 5 mornings or afternoons classes a week available for immediate enrollment.
Morning classes:
Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 12:00pm
Afternoon classes:
Monday through Thursday from 1:00pm - 4:30pm

• Physical Therapy Evaluation and Treatment: Our agency will evaluate and treat gross motor coordinative disorders as well as equipment needs of children. We have experience working with a variety of individuals; diagnoses to include autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, traumatic brain injury, developmental delays, and a variety of genetic syndromes. We are able to work with local equipment vendors to secure wheelchairs, bath seats, feeder seats, etc, as well as cast for AFOs.
• Occupational Therapy Evaluation and Treatment: Our agency will evaluate and treat fine motor coordinative disorders as well as sensory integrative disorders of children. We have experience working with a variety of individuals; diagnoses to include autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, traumatic brain injury, developmental delays, and a variety of genetic syndromes. Common disorders often referred for include difficulty with handwriting, fine motor delay, and sensory integrative dysfunction.
• Therapeutic Listening: Our agency will complete pediatric therapeutic listening assessments using Vital Links CD's.
• Feeding Evaluation and Treatment: Our agency will complete pediatric feeding assessments and provide consultation to caregivers regarding appropriate feeding methods. We have been trained in a variety of oral motor exercise programs and use a holistic approach in treating the child with feeding disorders.
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Our agency will assess and provide ABA therapy to children with a variety of developmental disorders. ABA is a method of behavioral conditioning that teaches and reinforces desired behaviors while extinguishing undesired behaviors. This technique has been found to help teach new skills and improve communication abilities for children with autism spectrum and other developmental disorders.
Therapy Playground is pleased to announce the availability of drop in child care at our Fisher Road location. Child care is supervised by a Bachelor's level Infant Toddler Specialist. Our child to teacher ratio is 1 teacher for every 6 children. There is a $25 dollar registration fee per family which will be waived if you are a current patient at Therapy Playground. Our drop in child care is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00pm. Your child can only remain at our facility for 4 hours a day.

• Playgroups / Respite - Our playgroups are 2 hours in length and focus on either music to aid development, use of sign language as a language learning tool, sensory development, language development, motor development or vocabulary development. We also have a playgroup designed to teach your child basic Spanish vocabulary. You are able to enroll your child in more than one playgroup per day. Each play group has a curriculum designed by an infant toddler therapist. There will be free play, circle time, arts and crafts and numerous opportunities for socialization. Our play groups can be paid for by the Exceptional Family Member respite program or by private family payment. The play groups are a perfect way to expose your child to a preschool experience even if they are not ready or familiar with the typical preschool setting. We serve both typical and special needs children and offer a discounted rate for playgroups bought in a block. Blocks of playgroups can be used on sibling groups. Reserve your spots today!
